Last month, the rusty patched bumblebee became the very first species of beesin the continental U.S. to be officially marked as “endangered” by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
According to the Associated Press, the new designation was scheduled to go into effect on Friday, until the Trump administration delayed the move one day before.
The federal government announced the delay, which is in
compliance with an order signed by Trump in January.
The regulation that
would add the rusty patched bumblebee to the endangered species list,
guaranteeing it federal protection, will be postponed until March 21.
According to the White House this will allow time for “reviewing

I’m shaking with rage. A huge number of politicians will have their criminal records thrown out. People who have cause state prejudice of millions of dollars (they’re estimating a total of almost one billion). People who have tried to rig the votes in the last presidential election. The officials who had done the inspection in the Colectiv club before the fire that claimed 64 lives last year will be off their charges too.
Protests are being organized throughout the country. I’m so worried that violence may break out, despite the fact that all protests so far have been peaceful.
There are 175.000 people out in the streets in the entire country. I’m hoping this changes something.
Over 300.000 at the moment. It’s the biggest protest in Romania in the last 25 years.

I just chatted with one of my closest friends, who is originally from Montana. is what she told me:
The plus side is that there has been a tremendous community response. However, I worry about the police in that area of the state. They say they’re doing extra patrols, but a lot of them are alt-right/neo-nazi affiliated, and I don’t trust them. The rabbi in Whitefish [the town where this occurring] is amazing, and I’m so upset for their congregation. My home synagogue is being targeted in Missoula, but so far they haven’t published individual member info like they did in Whitefish.
Given what we already know about alt-reich affiliated police officers all across country in relation to anti-black shootings and other crimes, I do not think her fears are unfounded. There is a chance that the local police could be the once to target the people they are being assigned to protect.
