no offense but tony/rhodey is literally one of the MOST shippable things in the mcu like…tony calls rhodey pet names, its repeatedly shown that rhodey is tony’s best friend and that they care deeply for each other, they’ve known each other since college, that scene in iron man when tony is literally cuddled up to rhodey, that scene in iron man where they Literally Hold Hands, the fact that rhodey gets hurt and tony is VERY upset has been prominent in all the cacw trailers, etc etc etc i could literally go on and on and on. but yet i have never came across a gifset shipping them romantically more than once or twice. i never see anyone talk about it. they have 381 works on ao3, meanwhile stony has 14,654 and frostiron (tony/loki) has 5,461…he literally doesn’t even like steve or loki but yet those are the male characters he’s most shipped with. and i think we all know why this ship that just HAPPENS to include a black man hasn’t gotten any traction at all : )

The loss of Peggy certainly made Bucky the last remaining part of his old self. He’s remembering home, who he is before this shield. Just who Steve was before he had this responsibility. When you lose Peggy, Bucky becomes so much more meaningful. That’s what motivates Steve to become selfish. You got the most selfless guy in comic books all of the sudden saying, ‘I care more about my relationship than what it means to you guys.’ The guy’s only looking for home and he’s found it with his current Avengers, but Bucky is that Achilles heel. It’s impossible– Pitting that against his current family, he chooses his old family. Which is, again, a little bit of selfish thing, but that’s something he’s never done before. It’s new territory. It’s a grey area that he hasn’t– He’s a very– Joe (Russo) uses this and I love it, that Steve’s a very binary guy. He’s this or that, and then with Bucky it becomes gray. And I think it’s tough for him. He chooses Bucky.
