Y’know, I really enjoy the concept of Clark Kent.

Like, minus the whole superman aspect.

because, like, okay I can buy that maybe he can disguise himself well enough to hide the fact that he’s superman, but i doubt any amount of slouching and glasses wearing can truly disguise that he’s a very tall EXTREMELY muscular man with a jawline that can cut glass.

So basically this newspaper office has this guy who looks like a weightlifter/supermodel just hanging around but he wears glasses and acts like a huge nerd and everyone just goes with it???

Like “Oh yeah, that’s Clark. No no he works here. Oh no don’t bother being intimidated by him, talk to him for five minutes and he’ll devolve into a lecture on proper tractor maintenance. We like Clark.”

I wonder if the ladies in the office ever drag him with them to bars so they don’t have to worry about creeps trying to harass them like “back off creeps our friend here is 6′4″ and grew up chucking hay bales”
And then it’s funny because (as far as they know) Clark is like, the meekest lil nerd around. (He don’t look it though!!!!)

It’s just incredible to me that Clark Kent can pull off being a quiet harmless dork while still looking like, well, superman.

Do you think he occasionally turns up to the office Halloween party wearing a really shitty Batman costume?

Well, I do now.

Harley & Ivy

This is why I love them!

Harley is an abuse survivor of course she’d wreck this dude!!!

Can I just say how much I love the implications here?

Harley and Ivy are known public figures. People know who they are, and recognize them. And this kid knows that, despite being violent criminals, they’re safe enough to go to for protection.

Ivy is dead certain that the Batfamily will be okay with them intervening to protect a kid. That has some intersting implications – either she knows damn well where the lines lie and that this is overriding enough to get her a pass, or (more likely, given the first bit) this has come up before.

one of my favorite tropes is villains acting heroically not because the other villain is a threat to them or because it benefits them, but because they have standards

Well, this is embarrassing

Left: Adrianne Palicki promo shot for NBC’s Wonder Woman.

Right: Kimberly Kane promo shot for ‘Wonder Woman XXX: An Axel Braun Parody’.

….is it just me or does the porno version outfit not only look WAY BETTER crafted and prettier, the actress also has more muscles, a nicer fitting chest piece and a waaay more fitting body type and skin tone.

Also the porno version doesn’t look more “feminine”/more sexy whatever.

That… is EMBARASSING

the “official” one looks like a really bad Halloween costume

I mean fuck the porno one has bigger wrist cuff I REPEATE: BIGGER WRIST CUFFS PORNO WOMAN IS BETTER DRESSED TO KICK ASS *cries*

can someone contact the designer of the porno

clearly he/she knows how a womans body works.

It’s embarrassing when the official looks a like a porn and the porn looks like the official thing.

The thing that makes me stunned the most is that even the boobs of the porn version are cupped and held in better by her clothing than those of the official thing…

The moment a porn movie treats the boobs of a woman with more subtlety than a big name production, some staff changes are in order.

What both fascinates and disturbs me the most about these is the body language and facial expression.

The “official” TV version looks passive, slightly confused, her pose is sort of ambiguous and floppy. She’s waiting for the viewer to do something before she reacts. The XXX version looks determined and fierce, and is taking literally 0% of your shit.

One of these Wonder Women looks like a sex toy, and it’s not the pornographic one.

I don’t know man it pisses my ashkie ass off that goyim want to turn the loving brainchild of two jewish men into a Jesus esque messiah figure to the point where they release a movie about him dying on Good Friday. You can’t deny how much of the turn of century jewish experience was invovled in creating the big blue boy scout, taking all that and deciding he’s going to be your ultimate symbol for Christianity feels super disrespectful.

#LMAO Y EAH #AND THEN MAKE SEVERAL REFERENCES TO HITLER AT THE SAME TIME #IT WAS SO NASTY (via @bpdjace)

I want everyone to read these tags and read them again because I was going save this for another post but I’m feeling particuarly angry and jewish right now so you have to listen.

Superman was based on the American Jewish , specifically American Jewish ASHKENAZI immigration and assimilation experience. This is not a stretch, this is not me reaching. Superman was created by two young JEWISH men in thirties. Deciding that you’re going to make references to Hitler with him is incredibly antisemitic and incredibly disrespectful not only to the legacy of Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster but literally the entire community.

I encourage you reblog this edited version of the post, even if you are a gentile.
