Hey so Danai Gurira is a playwright (and a fantastic one, she won a Tony) as well as an actor, so this isn’t just her observation as someone who’s been acting out storylines written by men and sees what’s wrong with them: she’s been WRITING HER OWN, MUCH BETTER narratives about women for years. Petition to hire Danai Gurira as lead scriptwriter for a Black Panther spinoff about the Dora Milaje who’s with me.

(For the record I’m not critiquing Ryan Coogler’s treatment of women he did a fantastic job.)
