Hey so like I know that DC/Marvel rivalry is a thing that will always exist in the world but I am getting increasingly uncomfortable with how diversity is being treated as some sort of competition between the two companies rather than as a common goal that both companies and popular culture should be working towards in general.

If you want Captain Marvel to succeed please go watch Wonder Woman. If you wanna see Cyborg get his own movie, go see Black Panther. If you wanna see an openly bi Harley, also ask for an openly pan Deadpool, and ask that their orientations not be played for laughs. And while you’re at it, ask them to hire some actual women, black people, queer people and the like to write/draw/direct this stuff, too.

I know that trading sick burns with fans in the opposing camp is fun but at the end of the day there are some things that shouldn’t be reduced to points on a score card.
