just so everyone who reblogged this but like, doesn’t actually watch trevor noah knows, he 100% encouraged protesting and just as a sidenote mentioned that people shouldn’t incite violence. Honestly I think this was kind of a weird quote to put on twitter because it was like an offhanded comment.
Trevor Noah, before the election ended, was probably the best media outlet covering the campaign. He’s the only person in media I saw who would refuse to dwell on Trump’s bullshit saying that “Trump farts every week and everyone in the media scrambles to cover it, and we’re just helping him” and instead focused on other important issues at least occasionally
I’m just pretty uncomfortable seeing everyone pass around this post with a fucking dril tweet and act like trevor noah is cancelled because he made a mildly moderate comment in addition to a bunch of encouraging ones
honestly… people are trying to say that Trevor Noah, the mixed-race man who grew up in apartheid South Africa, doesn’t have wisdom to offer us in times like this…
a blatant lack of fact-checking was half the reason Trump got elected, why contribute to that??
