Move over, “hipster” Barbie, there’s another white archetype to mock: the well-meaning savior who volunteers in Africa. There’s nothing wrong with volunteering in Africa, of course, but “Savior Barbie” brilliantly satirizes when it becomes a problem. Her creators are even speaking from personal experience.
